Sicem Saga launches the new biomethane plant.

Sicem Saga S.p.A. takes a significant step forward in the ecological transition with the launch of its new biomethane plant. Officially commissioned in April 2025, the facility is an innovative project that transforms the waste waters of the pulp mill into renewable energy, reducing COâ‚‚ emissions and enhancing the local area.

Equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, the plant efficiently and safely produces high-purity biomethane. The gas is injected directly into the SNAM network, generating two key environmental benefits: it reduces fossil fuel consumption and converts waste into a green fuel.
