HIGH BULK CMP FOR MULTILAYER BOARDS

Recently, SICEM SAGA developed new pulp grades for the middle layer of board grades. Target of this pulp quality is to enhance the bulk of heavy board, without sacrifying the mechanical properties. Beforehand only hi-bulk CMP with low brightness was available, now the same or better strength can be achieved with higher brightness and excellent dirt count. The cerificate of analysis of one typical hi-bulk grade is enclosed below: it is suitable for the production of Cup Stock, FBB, Duplex Board, WLC, all the times that virgin fibers or waste paper are not enough to get a high caliper in the middle layer. The trade name of this new pulp is SE 75/38 AV and it was developed mainly for the export market overseas.
